Nagpur : As a part of ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh’ celebrations commemorating 50 years of the 1971 war triumph, the ‘Victory Flame’ Rally arrived at Air Force Station Sonegaon, Nagpur on 21 Jan 21. The eternal ‘Victory Flame’ was received in a grand reception by Gp Capt Kanchan Kumar, Station Commander, Air Force Station Sonegaon and Mrs Meenakshi Rai President AFWWA(L). All the air warriors were lined up to salute the Flame with great honour and chanted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” in unison.
The families of the Station personnel also joined to witness this historical event. The stage was all decked up with posters and banners with backdrop of MI17 V5 to make this glorious occasion a memorable one. Self composed poetries by air warriors were presented in the honour of ‘Victory Flame’. The event exhorted all to reminisce the bravery and sacrifice made by our war heroes.
