Nagpur : 50th anniversary celebrations of Vijay Diwas being celebrated as ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh’ continued at NCC OTA with the arrival of Golden Victory Flame at Kamptee by paying tributes to the valiant personnel of the Armed Forces who made the supreme sacrifice during various operations in the 1971 War on 16 December 2020.
The Golden Victory Flame arrived at NCC OTA on 25 Jan 2021 which was received by Maj Gen Alok Beri, Comdt NCC OTA from Capt Anirudh Nair, OIC Golden Victory Flame Team in a ceremony organized at Chunnilal Parade Ground. The General Officer addressed the gathering and recalled the unwavering courage of our armed forces that resulted in a decisive victory for our nation in the 1971 war. He also narrated the significance of Golden Victory Flame journey in National Integration.
The ceremony culminated with the felicitation by the General Officer to Veer Naari’s of 1971 Heroes along with mini marathon winners (men, women and children) who participated in the Marathon organized during the celebrations in the form of ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh’.
